What is yoga therapy?

Yoga therapy combines Hatha methods, breathing exercises, and simple forms of meditation, led by therapists with more than 20 years of experience in traditional Yoga practice. Hatha postures are held for a set amount of time and are intended to energize and harmonize both body and mind.

How does a yoga therapy session work?

At the start of the session, you share with your therapist what you would like to bring into balance, whether physical, emotional, or mental. Together you set a goal, and the therapist selects and demonstrates a set of Yoga techniques suited to that goal, explaining the effects of each one. The minimum session length is 30 minutes.

What happens after the first session?

Many clients already feel better after their first session and receive the tools they need to continue practicing on their own at home. Since it can be harder to stay disciplined without guidance, or you may discover new areas you want to work on, you are welcome to return for another session anytime.
